We have a child who is a terrible car rider, so we are pretty much forced to stay at home the majority of the time or limit ourselves to trips in an hour vicinity. It's 100% fine by me, I am so greatful to be a mom, the sacrifice of social life is way worth it. It's a huge adjustment for people not ready to give up their normal lives, and I have friends who try to carry on like having a baby doesn't affect them. Unfortunately for the babies, they don't sleep well, nap or eat well. :( I'm very happy with our life now and look forward to continuing to adapt and prepare for baby #2 and life ahead! Great post by the way! I can only imagine we'll be singing the same tune once our 2nd is here next month (holy cow!) also. We didn't go out a ton before, but we have definitely cut back. We have one outing a month with friends for sure, and then anything else is just an added bonus in our eyes. We don't have family nearby, well my dad just moved back to KC so we plan to use him in the future, but up until now we didn't have babysitting options. And even though we know it's important to keep our relationship strong and go out just the two of us, we couldn't justify spending as much on a sitter as we did on our date. Plus, a lot of times we didn't want to leave Chloe behind. It sure is an adjustment, one that I agree you can somewhat prepare for. But the day to day duties of being a parent sure set in once your baby is actually here.Stephaniehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16875307109685150842noreply@blogger.com
